NIGERIA @ 61, FRIENDS OF DEJI OLA trains Oyo state Youths

The need for capacity building can never be overemphasized as this is one of many existing strategies to empower our youths while placing premium on the notion that “we are the leaders of today” Apparently, it’s a form of creating solution to some identified challenges facing our dear nation. 

Friends of Deji Ola, a non governmental association celebrates Nigeria independence in grand style by training over 200 youths in Agricbusiness, Digital marketing, reproductive health, catering and conflicts management. These set of youths cut across the 33 Local Governments of the state.

FOD comprises of youths from all zones in the state with same vision and mission which is centered around getting things done without complaint. Mr Yusuff Gboyega emphasized. 
He also added that in order to make this country a better place for everyone, we need to start thinking of how to contribute our quota to the development and growth of the nation. “The nation needs the collective efforts of youthful exuberance for developmental strides”

The Convener, Comrade Deji Ola who is also the Personal Assistant to the Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor explained that; the group intended to train 61 youths from all the 33 local government of the state just to celebrate Nigeria’s 61 years of independence. But during the cause of screening applicants, we discovered that over 287 youths applied and we were left with no option than to allow everyone of them to participate.

He, however appreciated His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for availing great opportunities to Oyo state youths on agricbusiness as evident in the ongoing training of over 10,000 youths in Nassarawa state. 
He also used the opportunity to appreciate all his friends for their continued belief in him. 
FOD marks the 61st anniversary of Federal Republic of Nigeria today 1st October 2021 at Ibadan Grammar School Hall Molete Ibadan with outstanding turn out.
Some of the volunteers who were part of the event emphasized their readiness to continue making positive impacts as their slogan is in tandem with positivity. 

As at the time of writing this report, the coordinator, Mr Bashorun Adeniji was busy issuing certificates to beneficiaries and we couldn’t interview him.
