…forgive others their sins and live in peace with everyone

The Oyo Assembly Elect for Ibadan North Constituency1, Hon (Dr) Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi Olajide has felicitated Christians on the feast of Easter.

Easter which has now become a memorial occurrence on the passion of Christ is a yearly feast celebrated by Christians across the globe and speaks about the love of God over humans through Christ’s death and supernatural resurrection from the dead, which is one of the chief tenets of the Christian faith.

Comforter while speaking to Eagle’s Sight News enjoins all and sundry, particularly Christians to emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ. She pointed out that the Love shown to the human race via the death and resurrection of Christ to redeem us from our sins is an emblem to Christians and everyone all over the globe that we can all leave a peaceful coexistence through love irrespective of our differences with others’ beliefs.

“I enjoin Nigerians, most importantly our brothers and sisters in Christ to emulate the teaching of Christ and live in peace with everyone.

“God has shown us love, and this is the quintessential lesson we all should hold on to ‘Love your God with all your heart and soul and Love your neighbor as your self ‘.

“This same love reciprocated by Christ the only son of God by submitting to the will of the Father and accepting to die for our sins is evidence that God truly loves us irrespective of our infirmities and we ought to reciprocate this to our neighbors.

“We should not also forget that love is the overall of the commandments of God. When we love our brothers and sisters and forgive them their sins irrespective of our differences, it implies that we truly love God and we are expectant of the promised kingdom.

“May Christ’s death never be in vain over our lives in Jesus’s name” Comforter says.
