Just In: Makinde, Oyo PDP Endorse Tegbe For Oyo South, Dump Kola Balogun

Recall, amidst the edged out rumours of Chief Bisi Ilaka (a PDP chieftian and Oyo Central contestant) for Tegbe(A newly decamped to Pdp who was said to be aspiring for Oyo central senatorial ticket) , there have been ranking factors expressed amongst the PDP Stakeholders and political jugarnaults which determined Ilaka fate and eventually made the party to not deny him of the ticket.

Further to this development, a recent news confirmed from sources has shown that mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has officially been endorsed as the Oyo South senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The official endorsement of Tegbe was made by the leadership of the party in the state and the 9 local government areas in the senatorial district.

Announcing the development on Sunday evening, Fresh FM’s Mayor Isaac Brown, revealed that the endorsement was reached by all critical stakeholders of the party.

Sources who are political juggernauts within the PDP reliably confirmed the truth of this development to Eaglesighttnews.

In a further statement captured from Oyo insight, the statement reads,

“The official endorsement of Tegbe was made by the leadership of the party in the state and the 9 local government areas in the senatorial district.

“The meeting was chaired by the Governor and leader of the party in the state, Seyi Makinde.

“The leadership of Oyo PDP in the 9 local government of Oyo South senatorial district has in a meeting officially endorsed Tegbe for the party’s ticket,” he was quoted saying.”

As at the time of writing this report, Balogun, who is the younger brother of the Olubadan of Ibadan, is yet to respond to the development.
