Zion College of Theology and Leadership Development (ZOTHEM) has announced fresh admission into Master, Bachelor, and Diploma in theology programmes . Eaglessightnews reports This is just as the College in a thrilling atmosphere Saturday during its 10th Graduation & Induction Fellowship Saturday 2nd ,December 2023 at the Headquarter of the Zion Faith Mission in Ibadan graduated PhD ,Master and Diploma students who have completed their courses in various discipline of theology.

In a statement made available to eaglessightnews Saturday, the Provost of the College Dr (Mrs) Oluremi Adeleke stated to our correspondence that “Zion College of Theology and Leadership Development (ZOTHEM) was established to train people to acquire knowledge that they need in their respective ministry to serve God” ,adding that the admission form is out with an amount of Two thousand naira only and prospective candidates are invited to pick the form at ZOTHEM Center ,Sheu Ologunerun in Ibadan.
Asking about the online registration for interested candidates outside the state, she told our correspondence that the offline /physical registration is ongoing at the College center while the online portal will be announced as soon as possible.
In her speech, Dr Oluremi pointed that perseverance has made the graduants to complete their courses and achieve the great milestone. She urged that as nobody is too know to acquire knowledge, individual should not weary to learn more.
Further to her speech, while encouraging the graduants to go forth with courage , humility and make great impacts in the society, she equally charged the graduants on love ,compassion, integrity as there watch words in day to day activities. She concluded with an appeal to the chairman ,chairperson , dignitaries and all and sundry who believe in progressing God’s work to partner with the college.
Delivering the graduation lecture titled ” The Global Economic Downturn and General Apathy for Global Impact of Theological Education on The Stability of The of Faith”, Zion Faith Mission President Worldwide , Rev(Dr) Abel Adeleke in the lecture delivered
narrated his experience on how he started lecturing work in the early 90’s with low income , pointing that despite how small the salary was as at then ,he still maximized the opportunity to invest on the needful.He pointed that everything is going down and there is confusion in the society.
Dr Abel Adeleke delivering the lecture on global economy…Rev Abel stressed that during his early days they spent kobo which was valued then and there were strong zeals towards the things of God unlike present day when many are now persuaded to serve God being consequences of economic hardship and other factors in the society.
The cleric in the lecture, examined the potential impact of theological education on the global economic downturn and the general apathy towards godliness .
He analyzed the role of theological education in shaping individuals’ values, ethics, and worldviews and explored its relevance in addressing the economic challenges faced by societies worldwide.
He also emphasized on theological education and its potential to foster a renewed interest in godliness and moral values within contemporary societies.
In the lecture, he buttressed on the importance of theological education as a transformative force in both economic and spiritual realms.
Further to his lecture,Dr Abel explained that in this era people can kill there consciences because of earthly things citing that men and women can sell their children because of money. “In contrast, all these crises are not the message of theological education but salvation, peace and how God can improve our economics hardships via various challenges men encounter in life “.Rev Abel stated.
While asking about some of his key words “Theology is a catalyst for global transformation and selling is not a skill” as stated during the lecture, the cleric explained that since scholars in various disciplines are in the church, it is an opportunity for who-be preacher to influence them in the way of God thereby transforming the world at large.
Reacting to why selling is not a skill, Rev Abel stated that to cushion the global economy hardship, individual particularly the younger generation should learn skills as that can be rendered as a service to be paid for thereby improving the harships.
Also addressing Journalists , the Chairman and chairlady of the event ,Elder Olusegun Kayode and Mrs Agbaje Ayoade, acknowledged ZOTHEM impacts in dissemination of the gospel of Christ and world transformation. They however charged the students to be good ambassadors of Christ.
The graduants include ,Rev(Mrs) Adeleke Oluremi( first student student conferred PhD in divinity), Rev. Oladele Albert and Rev Akinola Isaiah (Master’s degrees in mission & revival), Olubukola Mitin, Oni Remilekun and Victoria Folashade(Diploma I theological Education).
