A strange yellow aircraft flying around Ibadan metrapolis in Oyo State capital has caused serious concern and panic to the residents living in the state

The residents have shown concerns as this occurring few weeks to the general election, Eagle’s Sight News reports.

Several reports confirmed the grip of fear among residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital over a strange helicopter since few days ago in some parts of the ancient city.

According to reports some of the concerned areas that have witnessed the hovering of this yellow helicopter are communities within Egbeda, Lagelu, Ibadan North, Ibadan North East, and Ona-Ara local government areas.

According to Daily Post on Tuesday,some residents spoke to it’s correspondence calling the attention of security agencies, urging them to address the concerns of the people.

The residents added that the aircraft hovering close to the roofs of people’s homes is sending frightening messages to the state.

Contrary to this concern shown by some residents, Eagle’s Sight News’ correspondence who was at Inanolaji, Oluyole extension,Apata axis has seen confidence and ectasy shown among some people in replace of the expected panic. Some residents, including schools have seen this as a mean of excitement and fun!

Following the mix reactions among residents, an anonymous source according to Daily Post, from the armed forces urged residents not to be scared.

The source said the federal government may be conducting an aerial geophysical survey, recalling that a circular had been released by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development to that effect.

The source said, “A circular was released by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development months back, notifying the general public that the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (MINDIVER) project, a World Bank-assisted project under the Ministry of Mine and Steel-Development will embark on an Airborne Geophysical Survey Activity in Nineteen (19) states of the federation (covering 112 local Government Ares) to determine accurate mineral location using the modern-day aeromagnetic mechanism.

“The states to be covered by the survey includes; Kwara, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Ogun, and Ebonyi. Others are Enugu, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Kaduna, Niger, Kogi, Taraba, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Bauchi, and the F.C.T”.
