OYO GOVT COLLABORATES WITH FREEE RECYCLE LTD ON VOCATIONAL TRAINING,EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR WOMEN

The Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion Hon( Mrs) Toyin Balogun engaged in a strategy session with Mrs Ifedolapo Runsewe,MD COO of FREEE Recycle Limited,a company which commenced as a startup few years ago, which she has been able to upscale its capacity beyond recycling used rubber tyres into useful item’s through her recent acquisition of State of the Art equipment to include the extraction of the metal component of tyres which are then converted into more useful items

In the Commissioner’s words:

I stumbled on this gem/documentary about a month ago and two things piqued my interest:

1. This is a young woman who rather than put her femininity to the fore like many are wont to do,,has taken her fate in her hands by forging an uncharted course, standing up to be counted,to excel in a tough and challenging field like sustainable/responsible manufacturing

2.Realization that her journey/trajectory can be harnessed to motivate our women on the results of tenacity of purpose and determination to excel,I tracked her down and from our engagement today in my office; several beautiful initiatives and collaborations between the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Inclusion and her company for the benefit of our women and society at large are being incubated : Seminars,Vocational training,CSR initiatives are all being thrown in the mix.
