In a shocking turn of events, renowned veteran actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has disclosed the reason for her long-time vacation from acting. Omotola revealed this via a post shared on her Instagram page on Friday.

Eaglessightnews reports that the Nollywood thespian said she embarked on a long vacation to learn more, revitalize, and relax to gather more strength. She explained that since she started acting at age 15, it’s also good for her to take time to relearn and recharge.

In her words:

“I know many never understand why I take time off movies for a few years, then come back and do it again! Lol… I see fans asking when I’ll be back on screens, but when you’ve been working since you were 15, like I have… You’ll do well to relax, revitalize, relearn, and recharge. Who understands & who’s following?”

Destiny Etiko Debunks Affairs Rumours with Omotola’s Husband

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has clarified claims that Matthew Ekeinde, husband of Omotola Jalade, gifted her a luxury car. According to Naija News, a TikTok blogger alleged that the Enugu-born actress had an affair with the husband of her colleague, who bought her a car on her birthday last week.

However, in a video shared on her Instagram page, Destiny dismissed the allegation and lamented the continuous efforts by some individuals to tarnish her image.

Destiny explained:

“If you want to withhold the blessings of God in somebody else’s life and you want to grow, it’s impossible. Previously, you guys have always spoken ill about me. I’ve worked for 99.9% of all I have; I did it all myself.

“I don’t know why some people are bitter; perhaps they’re scared. On most of my birthdays, I always buy a car because I love to change my car every year.

“Some bitter people brought up pictures of Omotola’s husband that I took with him over four years ago. We met on a flight, and he was the pilot. Some people were snapping pictures with me, and he asked what was happening. They told him I was an actress.

“He greeted me with respect, and I asked if we could take a selfie. We took the picture, and that was it.”
