Support President Tinubu, Shun Protests, Omo Bao Appeals to All Nigerians•
Amidst ongoing politically-motivated unrest, Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji, the Pioneer Chairman of Aare Latoosa LCDA and a prominent Oyo APC chieftain from Ibadan North federal constituency, has called on all Nigerians to reject the proposed nationwide protest slated to begin next Thursday.
In a statement from his media office in Ibadan on Saturday, Oladeji urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and pray for the country’s progress. He emphasized the importance of unity and warned against actions that could destabilize national peace.
“I urge Nigerians, especially youths and students, not to participate in any form of protest that could hinder our spirit of progress. We must all work together to ensure the stability of our country,” OmoBao stated.
“This government is just a year old and, despite inheriting debts and other challenges from the previous administration, the President Tinubu regime has made significant strides, such as winning the war against local government autonomy and introducing the Student Loan scheme,” he added.
Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji argued that the planned protests were politically motivated by opposition forces and called for patriotic efforts to avoid any setbacks to the nation’s economic progress.
“We must not allow ourselves to fall back into endless economic difficulties. For the sake of humanity, I urge Nigerians to refrain from demonstrating, As Nigeria navigates through challenging times, unity and collective effort are essential for the country’s growth and prosperity,” he said.
He also called on Nigerian leaders to support President Tinubu in advancing the nation and addressing hunger. “May God Almighty intervene and bless our country. We shall all live to witness the fulfillment of our renewed hope agenda,” Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji prayed.
