The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Waheed Akanbi (Biro) has said to continue to enjoy perfect security in the society, both security agencies and stakeholders should see security as collective tasks.
Hon Biiro stated this Thursday 9th November 2023 during a peace and security meeting held with Security operatives, community leaders and other stakeholders in the Local Government Chairman office for the month of November.
According to a statement gathered from Ibadan North Chairman, Hon Biiro, cheques worth huge amount were given out to various organisation in attendance to support their mode of operations for quality security delivery.

“The meeting started around 1140hrs and presided over by Executive Chairman of the Local Government Hon. Akanbi Waheed Adeniyi Akanbi a.k.a Biiro.
“The chairman appreciated the efforts of all Security agencies for substaining peace across Ibadan North Local Government.He added that Ibadan North is one of relatively peaceful Local Government in Oyo State.However he called on the Stakeholders and Security agencies to collaborate more and see security as everyone’s business especially as the year is gradually running to the end.
“The agencies at the meeting gave a report of security situation in which NSCDC were not left out. The major issue discussed focused on crime within Ibadan North such as stealing of mobile phone, vehicle battery and brain box, cultism,smoking of Indian hemp and other related drugs including motorcycle snatching.
“The meeting came to end with closing remarks from Local Government chairman who charged security agencies to put more effort and cooperate among themselves to maintain Peace and Order in Ibadan North during the end of the year.
“The meeting came to an end around 1325hrs. Stakeholders present were NSCDC Ibadan North,Aare Latosa and Irepodun, NPF,DSS,FRSC,NDLEAOperatio Burst,Immigration, Amotekun, Vice chairman, Political head of Aare Latoosa and Irepodun,HLGA Alhaja Noibi Kudirat,Director of Administration Alhaji Alabi Kolawole, Representatives of Traditional Ruler,CAN, Chief Imam,Representatives of non indigenes and others to mention but few.
“Bank Cheques was issued to different organisation by the Local Government chairman to support their operations in Ibadan North to ensure adequate protection of lives and properties.”
