The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Waheed Akanbi (Biiro) has charged Ibadan North residents to make good use of health facilities provided by the government to cushion the wide spread of polio and other health issues in the society.

Hon Biiro stated this Friday while flagging off NIPDS Oral Polio Vaccination in the Local Government premises .

National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs) is a countrywide supplemental immunization exercise, geared towards ensuring herd immunity among children under five years against poliomyelitis and for maintaining polio-free status.

In a statement made available to eaglessightnews.com.ng, the chairman commended the efforts of the government towards achieving good health in the state by providing primary health centres , drugs, manpower among others.

While applauding Makinde’s contribution on health , the chairman distributed mosquito nets and other health facilities to nursing mothers and residents of the local government .

The dignitaries that graced the exercise include , Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Biiro, the chief of staff, The chief director of health in the local government,Dr Famakinwa , staff, SA’s in the local government, Stanbic IBTC bank among others. Eaglessightnews reports.
