Ibadan North:The Outgoing Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Waheed Omojoobiro Akanbi has applauded the impeccable leadership style of Oyo State Governor ,Engr Seyi Makinde through his indefatigable efforts in ensuring adequate provision of security gadgets for smooth delivery of security operation across the local governments.

This is just has the Executive Chairman, Biiro on Wednesday commissioned an official patrol l car and other security amenities aimed to ease security operation in Ibadan North Local Government.

The recent development is contained in statement made available to eaglessightnews by Hon Biiro on Wednesday while commissioning the the official operational car and other gadgets.

Eaglessightnews recalls that in December, 2023 the Chairman in his good will earlier commissioned a security building to serve as shelter for the security arms after operation.

Hon Biiro in his speech while addressing participants who graced the occasion also expressed his gratitude to Almighty God for counting him alive to finish his administration well and strong. The Chairman reteitrated the effort of the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde by ensuring adequate security through provision of security amenities across the local governments in the state. He also emphasized on the need for accurate delivery of his administration to serve as a legacy for the incoming administration in Ibadan North Local Government.

In his remarks “I thank God that counted you and I worthy today , this is not our first time support the security group in Ibadan North Local Government.We have done it repeatedly.By the request of the security arms ,the administration again realizes the need to support and intensify security operation in the local government in the local government hence we appealed to the governor for approval and in his good leadership, he endorsed an official patrol car and other pivotal security gadgets to ease their service delivery.”

Hon Biiro further explained that the new amenities will make it easy for the security personnels to move around during security operation . “Though we know that Almighty is our Chief Security but there is role we also have to play and that is exactly what we have done today.” Hon Biiro added.

The Chairman while handling over the amenities to the vigilante and legion group in the local government urged them on proper usage for the security of residents within the local government

Security gadgets handed over during the event by the chairman include, official operational car , phones,whistles, cutlasses, security shoes among others.

Also addressing the security personnel , the Head of the Local Government Administration (HLA) in Ibadan North Local Government, Alh Kudirat Abidemi in her remark charged both vigilante and legion groups to see themselves as one working for same purpose to ensure effective security service delivery within the local government metropolises.

She says”The administration didn’t buy all these amenities for the security officials to use for business , personal gain or to serve as threat to the community.We bought it for you to protect the citizens.It may not circulate for now but I can assure you by God’s it will soon circulate”

Alh Kudirat also charged them on time to time meeting for effective operation and also disclosed the administration’s effort to increase their monthly stipends and provide continuous lecture for them to motivate excellent service delivery.

While appreciating the kind gestures extended to security officials in the Local Government, the head of vigilante group in Ibadan North Local Government, Mr Adetoro also acknowledged the unusual supports given by the administration of Hon Biiro through out his leadership roles. He further expressed the sincere appreciation of the security personnels to the Local Government Chairman for his unrelenting supports giving from assumption of office to the end of his tenure.
