Hon. (Dr.) Dikko Salami, the Chairman and Sole Administrator of Oyo State Pacesetter, was the guest of honor at the Finance and Investment South-West Summit. The summit, which had the theme “*Navigating Economy Uncertainty*: Strategies for Financial Planning and Risk Management,” was hosted and moderated by Dr. Lola Odeyale Ayo-Fashida.

During his address, Dr. Salami primarily focused on the topic of politics. He began his speech by making a donation towards the launch of the book titled “Bisola Visits Her Grandma,” authored by Dr. Lola Odeyale Ayo-Fashida. He then spoke briefly about the importance of politics, emphasizing the need for collective effort to make the nation great. Dr. Salami aimed to dispel the negative perceptions people often have about politics.

Although he concentrated on political themes, Dr. Salami acknowledged his extensive background in finance. He mentioned that, given his academic qualifications—a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Finance and Accounting, along with other certifications—he could have addressed financial topics. Currently, Dr. Salami heads Pacesetter Transport Services and under his administration as the Chairman and Sole Administrator, the company operates over 75 buses daily, transporting more than 20,000 people daily.

Dr. Salami’s speech highlighted the interconnectedness of politics and economic development, urging collaboration and positive engagement in political processes to foster national progress.
