Makinde Approves Junction Improvement of Agodi, Idi-Ape Civic Centre, U.I For N10.3bn, Releases N10m For Apata Fire Victims|Eagle’s Sight News

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, approved the contract for the execution of the junction improvement works at some strategic locations in Ibadan metropolis.

The approval was granted at the State Executive Council meeting held at Governor’s Office, Agodi on Monday.

While briefing State House correspondent on Tuesday, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Kehinde Sangodoyin, said the projects would serve as a major catalyst for traffic solutions at the highlited locations.

Sangodoyin added that the projects, which wad awarded to messrs Planet Project ltd, would cost the sum of N10.3b.

Similarly, the governor sympathised with traders whose properties were lost in the tanker fire disaster on Thursday, at Apata area of Ibadan.

The governor announced the immediate release of N10m Naira palliative for the victims to minimise the painful effect of the incident.

“I have just asked that an immediate relief of N10m should be given to them at least to have something for this holiday while we look at the list and extent of the losses here,” He said.
