Lawmaker Abass Adigun Emerges Chairman House Committee On Drugs and Narcotics

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abass A. Adigun (Agboworin) has been announced the chairman of the House of Representatives on committee for Drugs and Narcotics.Eaglessightnews has gathered.

Eaglessightnews recalls that Hon Abass Adigun, a Member, House of Representatives in the 9th National Assembly, was the vice – chairman of the House committee on Air force.

Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, the new Speaker of the House of Representatives made this known on Thursday alongside other names of lawmakers who will chair the 134 standing committees in the green chamber of the National Assembly.

Abass Adigun’s appointment for the position according to report was as a result of his versatile knowledge and experience in the United States Of America Naval Forces.

Abass Adigun in his new milestone and roles as the House Committee Chairman on drug and narcotic include , charge drug policy and control, curtail illicit production, importation, exportation, sale and trafficking of psychoactive substances, prepares and monitors policy documents addressing the drug problem, enforcement and control of narcotic control laws, education and prevention of the use of narcotics and Treatment, rehabilitation and social reintegration of narcotic addicts.

In his remarks, Agboworin expressed his sincere gratitude to Oyo State people,particularly the good people of Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency for their votes in the last election.
