Just In: Tinubu Orders Military Crackdown on Zamfara Bandits
In a recent development, Nigeria President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered a directive to the Nigerian Army to eliminate insecurity in Zamfara State and the North-West. Eagles’s Sight News has gathered.
According to an update credited to Daily Trust, the order was conveyed by the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar during a visit to assess the progress of Operation Fansan Yamma North- West.
Abubakar emphasised government’s unwavering commitment to ending banditry and terrorism in the region.
He highlighted the significant deployment of troops and the notable progress made thus far.
“President Tinubu is deeply concerned about the security situation in the North-West, particularly Zamfara, and has instructed the troops to eradicate insecurity in the region,” he said.
During his visit, the minister commended the troops’ readiness and urged them to intensify their efforts against notorious bandit leaders.
