BREAKING: Former Accountant General of the Federation, Jonah Otunla, Dies in UK at 70

Eaglessightnews reports that Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla, former Accountant General of the Federation, has diied at 70, a family source confirms.

Multiple sources confirmed that Otunla died in UK. According to the source, “Otunla went to bed and didn’t wake up. He had even opened the door for someone at 5 am and returned to bed, only to pass away shortly thereafter.”

Otunla’s death comes just five days after celebrating his 70th birthday on June 12. The former AGF had been facing trial for alleged corruption, including accusations of stealing N21 billion.

During his tenure as AGF, Otunla was responsible for managing the country’s finances. His death brings an end to a controversial career marked by allegations of corruption and embezzlement.
