Ibadan North: Stakeholders, Party Leaders/Members, Youths Rally Support For Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade As He Declares Ambition For House Of Reps, Rolls Out Agenda

Hundreds of members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday, thronged the Salvation army Primary School Yemetu, Ibadan, where the young, energetic, intellect, visionary aspirant, Honourable Oluwaseun Olufade, declared his ambition to seek the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to contest for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 general election.

Addressing the mamont crowd of party members and supporters, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade said that his decision to contest for the House of Representatives seat, is informed by his observation of a total misrepresentation, the good people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency have had over the years, the poor accessibility of constituents to their representatives, thereby leading to poor dividends of democracy across all wards in it’s constituency.

He said, “I’ll be accessible to you all like I’ve always been, I don’t need to tell you about democracy in British, this is our constituency, we’ve always identify with you all without holding any political position, we’ve identify our problems during those periods, we’ve tour all our wards from 1-12, I’ve listened with keen interest to all our yearnings, give me the opportunity by electing me, so i can bring those dreams to reality, Our vision is to explore all available opportunities in providing jobs for the youths, bringing the best basic amenities and ensure that, we all enjoy the benefits of democracy.

Hon. Oluwaseun said, “I’m the youngest among all the aspirants vying for this position, yet I’ve been on ground identifying with you all, Now that the needs arise, I promise not to betray your trust”, “Venting into politics is not to siphon money belonging to you, like those in the past have done, but to birth a new beginning for the good people of Ibadan North, who have been shortchanged over the years, and redefine representation and protect your interest.

“I’m fully prepared to transform our Constituency, because Legislative service is one of democracy’s worthiest pursuits”. It is an important duty that deserves our time, attention and dedication. “I’m aspiring to make a difference, a difference for the better of all, and i believe the time is now.

He stressed that Governor Seyi Makinde who is also in the youth category is doing wonders, visible to blind and audible to deaf, he has set the pace, his policies are being emulated by his contemporaries and Federal Government.

“I Oluwaseun Olufade promise you my constituents that i will provide qualitative, discerning decisions, visible and result-oriented representation and replicate what Our ever working Governor, His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde has done in the State, here in Ibadan North, if given ticket and elected.

Also speaking at the event, the local government Party Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ibadan North, Prince Seun Adelore affirmed that PDP remains the only party to beat in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria with the composition of aspirants ideology, political track record and productive campaign.

He added that Ibadan North federal constituency will be adequately represented with the caliber of candidates vying for the position, adding that whosoever emerged at the Primaries, will be the best candidates to contest against the incumbent and he/she will surely win convincingly throughout the 12wards in the most populous, urban city in Ibadan.
