Ibadan North Council Boss, Agba Egbe Bag’s United Nations Award On Good Governance, Women Development in Nigeria• Dedicates Award To First Lady Of Oyo State For Her Immense Contribution

In attestation to good governance and leadership competence of the ibadan north local government executive chairman, hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe). The United Nations has conferred the executive chairman of ibadan north local government with the award of excellence in Good Governance, Women Development in Nigeria and Globally.

The United Nations Good Governance, Women Development in Nigeria and Global International is an autonomous institution with the United Nations and UNESCO General Assembly Resolution which recognizes individual Contribution in governance and women developments as a whole

In commoration of the year 2022 Women day celebration there was presentation of awards as International advocate on good governance to individuals with proven integrity and who have demonstrated commitment towards promoting universal moral values, right of women and children, social harmony and a culture of peace. It is also noted that the awardee has been dully investigated to attest their performance in office and a public opinion carried out from the people to govern.

This International honor among others is to encourage the individual awardees to be a role model in community services and peace-making at one time or the other.

The award ceremony which is a symbol of the commemoration of Women day Celebration which is in line with the UN General Assembly’s Declaration.

In his response, the council boss, appreciated the gestures, recognition from the institution, and assured that he is only encouraged to do more. He said “As public office holder we are not the all in all and the office should not be seen as a know-it-all position, we are only a servant leader, where we accommodate opinions, criticism and applauds just like this one.

He further dedicated the award to her excellency the first lady of oyo state, Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde and all the wonderful women in the world who has made one impactful contribution to the other.

The prestigious Award presentation ceremony was held at the office of the executive chairman of Ibadan north local government and had in attendance, the HLGA, Political appointees, Directors of service, among others.
