According to report sighted from Business days, the authorities in Kaduna State confirmed that at least one person a pupil, identified as Zaidu Usman, has been confirmed dead in an explosion that rocked the state on Saturday whhile several others are receiving medical attention at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika.
Confirming how the incident occured, eaglessightnews learnt that 10 children were playing with materials picked from the bush by one of their fiends they didn’t know were explosives but during the course of playing , the materials exploded leaving one dead and others suffered injuries at the Kidandan community, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Kaduna State Government has received reports from security agencies of an explosion in Kidandan area of Giwa LGA, said a statement signed by Samuel Aruwan, the overseeing commissioner, ministry of internal security and home affairs, Kaduna State
“According to preliminary reports from the traditional institution and security agencies, one of the pupils learning under a local cleric picked up an object from the bush, which later exploded amidst his fellow pupils.
The Kaduna State Police Command has also confirmed the latest incident, noting that all the injured children had been taken to hospital for medical treatment.

The command’s spokesperson, Mansir Hassan, who confirmed the incident to newsmen described the incident as shocking.
