A scandalous video has surfaced showing a female prison guard engaging in sexual activity with an inmate at HMP Wandsworth, prompting a police investigation.
The widely shared video footage depicts the officer, wearing a uniform, involved in a sex act with a prisoner in a jail cell. The incident raises serious security concerns and allegations of staff corruption.
The video shows the officer and the inmate engaged in a sex act while another prisoner films the scene on a mobile phone. The prisoner filming can be heard commenting, “Guys, we’ve made history, this is what I’m telling you.” The video also captures a third person attempting to enter the cell, and the prisoner filming tells them to wait, saying, “Give me a minute, one second.”
The prisoner then pans the camera to his face and boasts, “This is how we roll in Wandsworth. You know you’re gangster, innit!” The incident is believed to have occurred recently, and the female officer is no longer employed at the prison.
A spokesman for HMP Prison Service confirmed that the former prison officer has been reported to the police, stating, “Staff corruption is not tolerated… It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.” The Met Police have launched an investigation, saying, “We have been made aware of a video allegedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth. A police investigation is underway. At this early stage, there have been no arrests. We are in close contact with the Ministry of Justice.”
Former prison governor Ian Acheson expressed concerns about the implications of the incident, saying, “This is a national law enforcement agency. The idea that recruits to it would even contemplate, let alone participate in sex acts, is a stunning indictment of the utter chaos inside this prison. It won’t be an isolated incident… The state is no longer in charge here. The security implications and corruption threat is obvious and as explicit as the flagrant acts.”
Acheson also highlighted the impact on female officers, saying, “How are decent female officers supposed to feel safe to do their jobs in an environment where colleagues willingly participate in their sexual humiliation and exploitation?”
