Ex-Kola Balogun SA On Media, Rotimi Johnson (Ojasope) Dumps PDP

There have been several crisis underneath in the Oyo state chapter of PDP following the emergent and the administration of Gov Seyi Makinde.

These crises reveals the dissasfactions of some members on entitlements as they all claimed to have laboured so hard for the governor’s emergent.

Consequently this triggered the establishment of the aggrieved faction .

Recall that many members of the aggrieved faction of the party recently dumped PDP for other Parties.These people include the popular Olopoeyan and one Hon Muraina representing Ibarapa fed Constituency, Ex Youth Leader of the party kola Adeoye among others.

Surprisingly the announcement of Mr Rotimi Johnson (Ojasope) has brough more concerns and shocks to the party stakeholders including the members of the public.

” He is not one of the aggrieved…Is he one?What could have happened?” These have been reactions from the masses.

Recall Ojasope has fondly called resigned his Media Assistance Position from the senatorial office of Kola Balogun few months ago.

Ojasope is widely known as a passionate partisan of PDP on air via a program anchored by the prominent Mayor Isaac brown titled ‘fresly press’ on fresh fm. He has been one of the strongest PDP Party Stalwart and his dedication is widely apparent on air.

In a circular captured on his Facebook handle by this reliable onlinenewspaper’eaglessightnews’ Rotimi regrettably withdrew his party membership. As quoted , ” I am stepping aside from partisan politics until I am fully persuaded….

The full statement reads,

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
I was living in denial and dreaded this moment but it’s a sad reality; I struggle so hard to climb the ladder but only got to the last step before discovering the ladder was leaning on the wrong building.

Today, I withdraw from the Oyo State PDP and step aside from partisan politics until I am fully persuaded otherwise. I know thousands of you look up to me, particularly the young folks but according to Bishop David Oyedepo; “How long you’ve been on a wrong journey doesn’t guarantee arrival at the right destination”. I apologize for the pains, disappointments and inconvenience this decision might cause many of you; forgive and just pray for me but please don’t pity me. I also apologize for the quarrels, disputes, unpleasantness that happened in the cause of working and loving someone who despises me; I am very sorry for being blinded and deafened by passion and love, howbeit unappreciated, so much that I ignored your warnings and admolitions. I take full responsibility for how it has turned out and pressing the exit button is a self preservation move.

I will remain my political self but without party affiliation for now.
Thanks for the love and support I have enjoyed from all of you, which you generously expressed irrespective of political and religious affiliations; I hope these won’t wean in the coming days.
