Breaking:Settle Finally Accepts Higher Authorities’ Decision, Embraces Olatunji As Consensus Candidate For Oluyole Chairman

In what is called embracement of peace to allow the continuation of good governance in Oyo state , the  current executive chairman of Oluyole local government, Hon. Settle Olaide Popoola has finally submitted to the higher authority.

Eaglessightnews reports that Settle, according to a current development, accepted the nomination of Akeem Olatunji as the consensus candidate of the People Democratic Party  in the forthcoming 2024 local Government election.

Eaglessightnews recalls that there have been disagreement and confusion about who  the next Oluyole Chairman is for barely three weeks ago. As sighted from some online news media both Settle Olajide , the current executive chairman of Oluyole and Akeem Olatunji , the current Public Relations Officer of the PDP in Oyo have been endorsed as consensus candidates by  different caucuses in Oluyole PDP Chapter.

Olaide Settle embraces peace at the early hour of Friday 21st July, 2023 and called on all his supporters to sheathe their sword by submitting to the higher authority and accept the Governor decision.

Settle made his final decision known to the general public by a statement forwarded to the official  WhatsApp group of the  People Democratic Party in Oyo State.

Settle decision is also coming  barely 12hrs after there was a confirmed  report that community leaders, Baales and other traditional leaders in Oluyole local government have  threw  weights behind the nomination of Akeem Olatunji as the next chairman of Oluyole local government.

According  to the full statement, settle writes:

“The very first day God has created the whole universe was the day he has appointed those who are going to rule the affairs of men.

“My principal and benefactor have spoken and to me his decision is the FINAL.Ingratitude they say is the worst of vices while gratitude is the best of virtues.Im very grateful to my benefactor Governor Seyi Makinde for picking me from nowhere and allowed me to manifest.I appreciate the unquantified support given to me by his Excellency which has helped me greatly in delivering on my mandate to the good people of Oluyole local government.Once again,Im extremely grateful sir.

“To my Egbon of life Engr Akeem Olatunji its a well deserved victory. I wish you success in the journey to make Oluyole greater.Congratulations my man.

“Finally,I appeal to the leaders of our party in Oluyole local government and all my supporters generally to remain calm.Governor Seyi Makinde is our leader and benefactor and he has taken the best decision.This is the best time to show that we love the governor and our great party PDP.
