BREAKING: Makinde To Swear-In Bayo Lawal As Oyo New Deputy Governor After Assembly Confirms Nomination

Eagle’s Sight News has gathered that the Kisi-born politician who is currently the chairman of the state house cooperation , Chief Bayo lawal will be sworn in as the new deputy governor.

As contained in an update gathered, the Oyo state House of Assembly has confirmed Barrister Bayo Lawal as the new deputy governor of the state after Makinde forwarded his name to them.

Eagle’s Sight News recalls that Bayo lawal few weeks ago was appointed as the Governor Seyi Makinde campaign running mate.

Bayo Lawal was the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2019 senatorial election in Oyo North which was won by AbdulFatai Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

This decision is coming from Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde following the removal of the Raufu Olaniyan as deputy governor on Monday.

Lawal, a lawyer and former commissioner under the administration of late former governor Lamidi Adesina Is 76-year old.
