Breaking: Kingmakers Approves Chief Lekan Balogun As Olubadan Designate 

Olubadan-in-Council have  approved the installation of Dr Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Recall, former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Michael Lana has written to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde not to approve his appointment, if selected by the Olubadan-In-Council.

However council members had meeting on Wednesday 5th January, 2021 over Olubadan successor crisis.

10 out of the  Olubadan -in -council in attendance have concured  to the installation of Chief Lekan Balogun as the next olubadan  except for the absent of a  former governor of Oyo state senator Rasheed Ladoja who is also a member of the council.

In a news made known to newsmen after the meeting, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola  said, “the kingmakers resolved that Dr Balogun is next in line to ascend the throne of Olubadan according to tradition”.
