Oyo State Governor ,Seyi Makinde has again called for the resignation of his Party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu.

Makinde who is the leader of the Southwest PDP disclosed this during the SóuthWest PDP Consultative meeting and interactive session with its Presidential Candidate ,Atiku Abubakar Alongside other PDP Leaders in the Southwest zone.

Recall that PDP crisis on Ayu’s removal has been on since the emergent of Atiku Abubakar has the Presidential candidate of the party.

The likes of PDP cheiftains and governor’s elders Bode George ,Wike , Makinde, Ortom and other political juggernauts in the southern PDP have insisted on the Ayu eaglessightnews recalled.

Makinde stated the change became imperative for the party to reflect it national outlook and to portray what Nigerians should expect from the party in 2023 if the party wins the general elections.

Makinde added that Ayu’s resignation has become imperative for the restructure and unification of the party.

In his words “If we truly want to give Nigerians the hope they expected from us , then we have to first work for the unity of our party”

The governor said in Yoruba “Eni to ba fe daso sini lorun, torun ara re la n wo” meaning that he who will sow cloth on someone’s neck, his dress would first be seen.

Atiku’s in his response said that the resignation of Ayu is only achievable via amendment of party’s constitution and that the main thing that is important for now is winning election coming 2023.

Meanwhile , Atiku’s running mate Okowa and Dino Melaye have in their speeches commended Governor Seyi Makinde and described him as truly being a Party man and a man with good characters.

Senator (Dr) Infeanyi Okowa, the Delta State Governor who is Atiku’s running mate In his statement said truly Makinde is a ‘ Party man’ and commended him for hosting them despite the indifferences going on in the party.

The former Senator of kogi-West senatorial district who is equally the Atiku campaign Spoke’s man,Dino Melaye in his statement commended the performance of Seyi Makinde. According to him, “when I visited the government house some years ago, it was like the house of rats and grasshoppers but today “Seyi Se omoluabi” meaning Seyi has done well.
