There has been hulabaloo in the Iwo road-idi-ape axes of Ibadan according to a recent report by one of our correspondence.

Eagle’s Sight News understands that residents of Ibadan area flee  for safety as sporadic gunshots hit the air along Iwo road axis Wednesday evening.

Sporadic shooting was heard in Iyana Church, Monatan, Iwo-Road, Idi-ape, Alakia, Isebo, Total-Garden, Agodi Gate and Mokola among others.

What led to the incident

There were different accounts of what led to the incident.

In a report gathered from by Eagle’s Sight News a source said, the boys of the recently sacked PMS Chair’ fondly

called Auxiliary on Wednesday evening resurfaced and stormed Iwo road to take back their parks after being sacked by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Some residents said the suspected PMS boys were on a reprisal for the arrest of about 78 of their members on Tuesday while another account said Auxiliary boys were out to attack some individuals suspected to be behind the sack of their boss.

Reports also have it that Auxiliary boys reportedly attacked car drivers and residents around Wema, Iwo Road Ibadan.

Another source told the nation  that the PMS boys engaged in gun duel with members of the Amotekun Corps and security operatives.

The suspects were said to have been shooting while driving across the major parts of the city.

Efforts to reach Out Police spokesman was futile as at the pressing time report.Pandemonium broke out in Ibadan on Wednesday evening when sporadic gunshots were heard around major parts of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital city.

There had been fragile across the metropolis since Monday leading to the sack of Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Park Management System (PMS), Mukaila Lamidi aka Auxiliary.
