PICTORIAL: Gov Seyi Makinde, Dep. Gov Bayo Lawal, Hon Olufunke Comforter Other House of Assembly Elect Receive INEC Certificate of Returns.

It was an atmosphere of joy and a colorful day when the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC presented the certificates of return to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, his Deputy, Barr Bayo Lawal, and other House of Assembly Elects 10-day after the just concluded Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly Election.

This is in line with the constitution of INEC to issue the certificate of return to those who emerge winners within 14 days.

The event which took place at the University of Ibadan Conference Center thrilled mammoth Crowd , particularly the residents of Oyo State of a promising Omituntun 2.0

Some of top dignitaries who graced the occasion amon were Christian Association of Nigeria representatives, the Muslim society, the Aare Musulumi, the olubandan -in-councils, top monarchs among others.

Among the House of Assembly Elects who received the certificate of return is Hon. Comforter, a candidate under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who was declared the winner that emerge of the March 18 2023 Governorship/State Assembly election in Ibadan North Constituency which is made up of Wards 1 to 6 .

Eagle’s Sight News had earlier reported about two weeks ago that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Olufunke Comforter winner of the House of Assembly Election for Ibadan North Constituency1 after polling a total votes of 16,601 to defeat her closest river of APC who polled 7,687 votes.
