BREAKING: FG orders VCs to reopen varsities, commence lectures

Eagle’s Sight News has just gathered that the Nigeria Federal Government has instructed Vicechancellors have been to reopen institutions for students to continue lectures through the National Universities Commission.

Recall the national industrial court of Nigeria on Wednesday ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities to call off its ongoing nationwide Eagle’s Sight News previously reported.

This new move on Asuu strike was disclosed in a circular written by Professor A Vice-chancellors Abubakar Rasheed, the commission’s executive secretary, and signed by Sam Onazi, the NUC’s director of finance and accounts.

A letter issued to all vice chancellors, pro chancellors, and chairs of governing councils of federal institutions was made exclusively available to The PUNCH on Monday.

“Ensure that ASUU members immediately resume/commence lectures; Restore the daily activities and routines of the various University campuses”, the letter partly reads.
