GSMists Launch Campaign for PDP Candidate Don Ahead of Bye-Election

Ibadan, Oyo State -As preparations intensify for the August 16, 2025 House of Representatives bye-election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, a political support group, The GSMists, has unveiled a comprehensive campaign plan to back the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Hon. Fola Oyekunle, popularly known as Don.

In accordance to a statement made available to Eagles Sight News, the group, under the leadership of Prince Oluyinka Tella, has lined up a series of strategic mobilization activities, including the erection of billboards, distribution of posters and flyers, as well as airing of radio jingles. These efforts aim to sensitize residents of the constituency and galvanize grassroots support for the PDP candidate.

The campaign is being driven by a sub-group tagged “GSMists Volunteers 4 DONDEAL 2025”, which, according to the statement, is already engaging voters across the nooks and crannies of Ibadan North Federal Constituency.

“Our mission is to promote the candidacy of Hon. Fola Oyekunle and ensure that his message of responsive and people-centered representation reaches every household,” said Hon. Yomi Olajide (Ore Gomina, Royal Umbrella), Chief Coordinator and Director of The GSMists.

The Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat became vacant recently, prompting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to schedule a bye-election. Political activities in the area have since gained momentum as parties and candidates intensify their campaigns.
