Workers’ Day: Oyo Central Hopeful, Bisi Ilaka Hails Worker’s Resilience On Hardwork, Innovation And Patriotism
The People’s Democratic Party, Oyo Central senatorial zone aspirant, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has described Nigerian workers as the Pillars on which Nigerian greatness will be built, he made these remarks in a solidarity message with all Nigerian workers and working families, in commemoration of this year’s workers day.
According to a press statement made available to news men in Ibadan, Ilaka reminded workers that our nation’s structures for true greatness are built on their hard work, innovation, resilience and patriotism.
The Oyo born lawyer and Politician also seized the opportunity to acknowledge the historical contributions of Nigerian working people and organized labour to the political, economic, social and cultural development of our nation, He noted ” From the struggle for independence and the clamor for the restoration of the democratic order to the sustenance of the freedoms guaranteed by our democracy for the past two decades, Nigerian organized labour has always been at the forefront of the push for a better Nigeria.”

Ilaka who is the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom reiterated the efforts of the organized labour towards getting Nigeria out of its present position, referring to them as good partners on the mission to rescue Nigeria.
Ilaka, who is also a tax consutant admonished workers in Oyo state on the importance of electing leaders who understand the needs and aspirations of the working families and are committed to paying salaries and promoting people- and worker-centric policies to create an environment that will empower and emancipate all workers of the state.
He also commended Gov. Seyi Makinde on his committment towards the welfare of workers and pensioners in the State,
He goes further to remind working men and women that 2023 is a good time to powerfully demonstrate their commitment to preserving an empowering environment by supporting and voting for the reelection of governor Seyi Makinde and other PDP candidates in the state.
