Osinachi’s Case Transferred To DPP – Police
Eagle’s Sight News affirmed from source that the FCT Police Command recently transferred the case of the family of the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu against her husband to the Department of Public Prosecutions.
You would recall, that the singer Osinachi bidded the world a farewell on April 8 after purportedly enduring years of domestic violence from her husband Peter Nwachukwu.
The news of the domestic violence circulated the social media.
Amidst the commotion and reactions on air, the relative of the late singer has been said to request the intervention of police force. Consequently Mr Peter the late singer’s husband was arrested.
The case has since then been at the State Criminal Investigation Department, as the police carried out autopsy on the late singer.
Recently, the FCT Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh said Osinachi’s case has been transferred to the Department of Public Prosecution for legal advice.
“The case is no longer with us.
“It is now with the DPP in the office of the Attorney-General,” Adeh told newsmen.
According to source the case was purportedly transferred after the release of autopsy report on Monday.
