Just In: EFCC Transfers Mummy of Lagos ‘Bobrisky’ to Abuja Faces Fresh Charge
In a fresh development Eagle’s Sight News has gathered that popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, is set to be transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Abuja for questioning regarding bribery and corruption allegations.
On Thursday night, EFCC officials removed Bobrisky from an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
An EFCC official confirmed that Bobrisky would be flown to Abuja on Friday.
During a press briefing, Wilson Uwajaren, Director of Public Affairs, hinted that Bobrisky might face new charges if allegations against the EFCC prove false.
Uwajaren emphasized, “One can be charged for giving false information to the EFCC, let alone making false allegations against the commission.”
A source revealed Bobrisky’s arrest was due to accusing the EFCC of “bribery and corruption; we invited him severally, but he did not show up.”
The source continued, “He who alleges must be ready to prove. Those allegations are too weighty to allow to slide… Also, remember he refused to show up at the National Assembly on the matter.”
The arrest follows Bobrisky’s alleged voice note, shared by Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan), claiming he bribed EFCC officers with N15m to drop money laundering charges.
