Just In:PDP Appoints Makinde’s Ally , Dare Adeleke as Ekiti PDP Caretaker Chairman, others … (Full List)-
In a significant turn of events, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Governor Makinde’s ally, Mr. Dare Adeleke, as the Ekiti State PDP Caretaker Chairman.
This development follows the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee in Ekiti State.
According to a statement signed by National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba:
‘”Following the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee in Ekiti State, the NWC, on behalf of the National Executive Committee, approves the composition of the Ekiti State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Ekiti State Chapter, as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of our Party’s Constitution, for a period not exceeding 90 days (3 months) or till a new Executive Committee is elected.’
The Ekiti State Caretaker Committee members are:
- Chief Dare Adeleke – Chairman
- Hon. Ayodele Joshua – Member
- Mr. Agbetuyi Sunday Joshua – Member
- Hon. Olonila Ojo Benjamin – Member
- Mrs. Mojisola Omotosho – Member
- Hon. Ojo Ayeni – Member
- Rt. Hon. Abeni Olayinka – Member
- Hon. Ademola Alade – Member
- Hon. Afolayan Akutupu – Member
- Hon. Bobby Jeje – Member
- Rt. Hon. Sina Animashaun – Member
- Hon. Araromi Akindele Samuel – Member

The NWC urges all leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the Party in Ekiti State to remain united and work together for the Party’s progress.
Eaglessightnews recalls that Dare Adeleke, a significant contributor to the PDP’s progress, was previously appointed by Governor Makinde as the Sole Proprietor and Chairman of the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport System during his first term.
