Latest Update: NLC Says Strike Continues Pending Review Meeting

In a bombshell move, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) announced that ongoing nationwide strike will continue until Tuesday’s meeting of its organs, where the agreements reached with the Federal Government on Monday will be reviewed.

Recall that Eaglessightnews earlier reported the possibility of ending strike soon after FG and labour reached tentative agreement

In a statement on X, the NLC clarified that the industrial action remains in place until further notice, despite the tentative agreement on a new national minimum wage.

The meeting on Tuesday will determine the next course of action, and until then, the strike continues.

This development comes after a six-hour meeting between the Federal Government and organised labour leaders, including NLC President Joe Ajaero and TUC President Festus Osifo, where President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to raising the minimum wage offer was expressed.

Stay tuned for further updates as the situation unfolds.
