Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon (Mrs) Toyin Balogun has been honoured with an award from the Nigerian Legion. Eaglessightnews reports.
The award which was bestowed to the commissioner as contained in a statement disclosed to journalists , a copy made available to eaglessightnews.com.ng Friday was presented by the Oyo State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion to recognize and appreciate her as an Excellence and Outstanding Personality in the country.
The full statement reads:
“Courtesy visit returned to the State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion who had visited the office of the Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion; Hon Mrs Toyin Balogun a couple of weeks ago.

“This visit was to appreciate our men
and women retired from active service but still contributed meaningfully to society through the rendition of security services over the lives and property of citizens.
“The State Chairman Mr. Ogunkojo seized the opportunity to discuss preparations towards the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, he also highlighted challenges faced by his men, which the Hon Commissioner promised to relay for His Excellency’s intervention.
“An award was also bestowed on her by the Legion.
“On the Commissioner’s entourage were; a former Councillor from North West LG Hajia Hauwa Balogun, Hon Iyun from Ibadan North LG, Mrs Bola Bashiru and others.”
