The Turaki Adini of Oyo State Engr Abduljelyl Karheem fondly called Mogaji Adanla has called on Oyo state people to be thanking God for making Makinde the first citizen of the state.
The famous Chieftain Adanla said this while congratulating Governor Makinde on the recent achievement of the state as one of the best-performing states in Nigeria’s socioeconomic scorecard under Makinde’s watch.
Eaglessightnews.com.ng earlier reported that
a survey according to Analysts Data Services and Resources (ADSR), Lagos and Oyo states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have emerged as the best-performing states in Nigeria’s socioeconomic scorecard.
Adanla, in a statement made available to eaglessightnews Tuesday from Birmingham where he is currently attending the u k construction work, felicitated and appreciated the state governor for bringing Oyo State to the level of Lagos and FCT adding that Oyo state people should be grateful to God for giving them Governor Makinde in this challenging time.
The elder statesman explained that if the state had fallen under the control of those who have not done anything meaningful in life except politics Oyo State would have become one of the states deteriorating in Nigeria
In a full statement, Adanla writes:
“Oyo state people need to be thanking God for making someone like Makinde as the governor particularly now that things are so hard in the country. If the state has fallen under the control of those who have not done anything meaningful in their life except politics our people will have become beggars asking for food to eat.
“Makinde via the wisdom bestowed by God to excel in his private business before his emergence as governor, equally used the same spirit with love to move the state forward.”
Adanla further charged Oyo residents to shun unhealthy criticism and continue to support the Governor, stressing that public public-private partnership emulated by Governor Makinde has been adopted in Great Britain for over 20 years, is working well, and is the way forward in the world.
