Eagle’s Sight News comfirmed on Monday from reliable source that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is an aspirant for the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State actually met in Ibadan during the ex-VP’s visit to the ancient city contrary to some media reports contrary to rumours that makinde denied Atiku to visit him.
This reported is contained in an exclusive report gathered by Polity. According to source, the duo of Atiku and Makinde met at the Carlton Gate Hotel, Agodi Ibadan early Sunday morning to discuss the state of things in the party and the forthcoming presidential primaries fixed for May 28 and 29 in FCT, Abuja.
This is in contrary to the previous Media reports had which indicated that Makinde shunned the former Vice President during the latter’s visit to Ibadan to meet with national delegates of the party in a bid to oil his push for the party’s ticket at the convention.
Makinde, who was said to be in jovial mood told the former Vice President that he was unavoidably absent on Saturday while the ex-VP entered town.
