Ibadan North Agog As Hon Waheed Akanbi ‘Biro’, Swears In As The New Executive Chairman And Honours With A Brown New Car (Video +Photos)
It was a colorful day in the historical events of Ibadan North Local Government on Friday as the mammoth crowd in the local government thrilled when the new executive chairman, Hon Waheed Akanbi was sworn in. Eaglessightnews reports.

The residents could not hide their vibes, they were agog and thrilled with huge excitement and expressed their feelings with different songs and choruses in the Yoruba language.
Recall that the Ex-Chairman, Hon Sahib Yusuf Oladayo fondly known as Agba Egbe was impeached by the legislators in the Local Government some weeks ago after several allegations were levied against him.
In the goodwill of the authorities to bring fresh dawn to the people of Ibadan North Local Government and to allow the residents of the local government to fully enjoy the dividends of democracy and good governance as prioritized by the administration of the State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon Waheed Akanbi better known as “Biro” was sworn in by the lawmakers to replace Agba Egbe the Ex-Local Government Chairman.
Present at the swearing-in were Political Juggernauts in Ibadan North Local Government and government dignitaries: All elders, leaders, stakeholders, serving honourable, serving commissioner, and party members among others.
The political bigwigs and government dignitaries in attendance include Hon Commissioner of Women Affairs & Social Inclusion, Hon Mrs. Toyin Balogun, Hon Mrs. Hon Comforter representing Ibadan North Constituency 1, Hon Babajide Adebayo representing Ibadan North Constituency 11, Chairman Shooting Stars Club, Hon Babatunde Olaniyan (Akoro), Ibadan North LG Chairmanship candidate, Hon Seun Olufade, Chief Ismail Ashipa, Elder Daniel Ajuwon, Elder Rauf Adekola, Hon Yinka Bibire, Baba Oyinbo, Hon Ayoola Dauda(Baba Oyinbo), Hon Akeem Egbende, Hon Tunde Suara and notable men and women of honor.
In addition to the jubilation, the residents were equally thrilled with excitement as a brand new car was handed over to the newly sworn-in Chairman, Hon Waheed Akanbi.
The brand new car handed over to Hon Waheed Akande “Biiro” by the state government is to ease his to and fro and activities for the progress of the Local Government. This marks another historical event in Ibadan North Local Government.
Government dignitaries and political bigwigs that handed over the brand new car include the commissioner of women affairs and social inclusion Hon Toyin Balogun, ALGON Chairman in Oyo State Hon, Sikiru Sanda, Lajue and Hon Yomi Olajide fondly called Royal Umbrella among others.
Expressing his sincere appreciation to eaglessightnews correspondence, the newly sworn-in Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Waheed Akanbi in his remarks, appreciated all the residents of Ibadan North Local Government for their resilience support, and demonstration of love, promising them better days with an all-inclusive government as prioritized by Governor Makinde.

In his full statement during an interview with Eaglessightnews correspondence, Hon Waheed stated:

“My sincere appreciation goes to my principal Governor Seyi Makinde for another opportunity and for honoring me with a brown new car, may he continue to soar. I deeply appreciate Otunba Seye Famojuro for representing the Governor well. I thank Hon Toyin Balogun, Hon Yomi Olajide(Royal Umbrella), and other political bigwigs for standing by me all through and making today a reality.
