Ibadan North Chair Biro, Charges Corps To Be Focused
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Waheed Akanbi ‘Biro’ has reiterated that youth should be resilient, determined, and focused. Eaglessightnews reports.
This is contained in a statement made available to eaglessightnews.com.ng after the Chairman graced a special event of the National Youth Service Corps held Wednesday at Iseyin in Oyo State.
According to Hon Waheed Akanbi’s admonition”Do Something To Get Something”, while charging the Corps he analysed that the result of resiliency and determination is bright futures and great fortunes.
He explained that the economic challenges facing Nigeria and Nigerians are pointers telling Youths to wake up from their slumber and acquire vocational skills to harness their educational certificates from School.
“Instead of getting bothered with the economic crisis, unemployment challenges among others in the country, you can acquire vocational skills of your interest and harness the educational skills gotten from school to get income on your own and gradually be employers of labors” Hon Waheed admonished.
The Chairman while admonishing the corps reminded the corps of how Governor Makinde increased the Corps monthly stipends given by the state after assuming office in his first term. He also reiterated and extolled the Governor’s Makinde friendliness and youth inclusion through several schemes of empowerment and projects in the State.
