Ibadan North agog as a frontline hopeful for Oyo State House of Assembly Hon (Dr) Olufunke Comforter AdeniyI Olajide empowered residents with free health scheme. This is in fulfillment of her promise to the residents Eagle’s Sight News has learned.

It was such a great time and a moment of relaxation for the beneficiaries and all participants of the free health scheme brought to the people of Ibadan North. The vision of making healthy living become part of the lives of residents in Ibadan North by Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi Olajide was mentioned during her last birthday celebration February 14th. Being a person who follows through with her plans and keeps to her words, over 80 persons became beneficiaries of the free health scheme program which was established by Olufunke Comforter Foundation in collaboration with Oyo State Health Insurance Agency.
The beneficiaries will enjoy free medical attention, Surgical intervention, encompassing all health services for a whole year and amazingly Hon. Comforter made it known at the event that she was going to continue as many persons will become beneficiaries, and that not only will she make the beneficiaries enjoy this privilege for a year, but eventually if granted the opportunity of becoming a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, it will continue for five years.
Everyone present at the event testified to the fact that the benefits which would be derived from the gesture outweighs being given stipends as a form of dividends of democracy.
The speaker and trainer, Dr Kunle Awotiku, a wellness coach engaged the audience with a health talk and some healthy exercises.
As against the usual serving of snacks and soft drinks, participants were served fruit salads and water which they really enjoyed. Hon Olufunke Comforter Olutunu de explained that serving of fruits and water was a way of reminding the people of how and why they must eat healthy to stay healthy.
Hon Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi Olajide made it known that as politicians they need to care for the health and wellbeing of the masses and seeing how His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde takes so serious, the health sector in the state while knowing that she can’t do it all alone, hence she decided to partner with OYo State Health Insurance Agency and bring this opportunity to her constituency so as to make the people enjoy the great health schemes established by the present government.
She believes that having the Governor run the second term and herself becoming a member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North Constituency 1, Oyo state at large will know it for good.
The beneficiaries of the free health scheme were not just from Ibadan North constituency 1 but inclusive of Ibadan North Constituency 2 and were given a card which allows them to visit an hospital close to them and enjoy free health care and services for a year.
The event was graced with stalwarts from Ibadan North Local Government.
